Esther Pilster Park
4002 N. 88th Ave
Omaha, NE 68134
Pilster Park is a great place for outdoor activity in Keystone. It’s named in honor of Esther Pilster, Boyd Elementary’s first principle. It has a jungle gym, baseball field complete with dugouts, soccer field, and a pavilion for social gatherings.
Esther Pilster supported Keystone and the Keystone Community Task Force. Her generosity and belief in Keystone continues to benefit Keystone today through generous donations from her estate.
Pilster Park is often a busy place throughout the week as the Keystone Trail rolls through. On the weekend there are often people using the ball field and soccer field.
Pislter Park was named in honor of Esther Pilster, but the reason is the KCTF pushed the city to rename the park in her honor. Normally this isn’t a difficult process, but Esther Pilster was able to see the park named in her honor which is not common at all. The city only renames parks for individuals that have passed on. The KCTF pushed and pushed and was able to accomplish this honor so Esther could witness it.
