Spring City Cleanup Host Site Apr/May
Each year, the City partners with the Keystone Community Task Force (KCTF) to provide a dedicated trash disposal event for residents. This special service allows community members to dispose of large or bulky items that cannot be placed in regular curbside trash pickup. Keystone proudly serves as a host site for this event, making it more convenient for residents to clear out unwanted items and maintain a clean neighborhood.
The event is one of the most popular community services offered, drawing a steady stream of participants. To ensure everything runs smoothly, multiple volunteers are needed to assist with unloading items, directing traffic, and keeping the process efficient. It’s a rewarding experience, as volunteers not only help their neighbors but also contribute to keeping Keystone clean and clutter-free. Whether participating or volunteering, this event is a great way to give back to the community and support a shared effort in maintaining our neighborhood’s quality of life.

Garage Sale Weekends May/Aug
Each summer, the Keystone Community Task Force (KCTF) organizes and promotes two community-wide garage sale events—one in May and another in late August. These events provide residents with an excellent opportunity to declutter their homes while attracting more buyers through coordinated neighborhood participation.
To maximize visibility, KCTF compiles a publicly distributed list of participating households, making it easier for shoppers to plan their visits and increasing the chances of successful sales. Additionally, KCTF places signs at key entrances to the Keystone neighborhood, ensuring the event is well-advertised to passing traffic.
The Garage Sale events not only help residents find new homes for their unused items but also encourage community engagement. Whether selling, shopping, or simply strolling through the neighborhood, these events foster a lively atmosphere and support the tradition of community connection in Keystone.

How we operate
The Keystone Community Task Force (KCTF) is led by a Board of Directors, which oversees the organization’s activities, budget, and events. The board consists of Directors and four officers: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. They meet 10 out of the 12 months of the year to discuss spending, financial planning, upcoming events, and other matters that affect the community. The board plays a key role in organizing KCTF’s various initiatives, ensuring they run smoothly and benefit Keystone residents.
KCTF operates under Robert’s Rules of Order, a structured approach to conducting meetings that ensures fairness and organization. Decisions are made through a majority vote, allowing all board members to have a say in important matters. This democratic process helps guide event planning, budget allocations, and the development of new initiatives. Whether it’s managing long-standing traditions like the Scholarship Fund or exploring new ways to engage the community, the board works together to keep Keystone an active and welcoming neighborhood.
