The Keystone Community Task Force strives to actively foster unity, vibrancy, and mutual support in our neighborhood. We achieve this through a commitment to organizing engaging events and community initiatives that give back to our community, making it a better place for all residents.

Envisioning a community spirit and closely-knit neighborhood where every resident enjoys a thriving community life, filled with engaging events and mutual support. We strive to create a harmonious and caring community that serves the Keystone neighborhood.

The KCTF is the local community group for Keystone residents, and joining is free—every person living in Keystone automatically becomes a member. The organization is managed by a Board of Directors and Officers. If you want to serve on the Board, you must go to the KCTF meeting in May to get your name on the voting list for the new Board. Board members serve for three years, but they have the option to run for another three-year term once their initial term ends.

If you have ever wondered how the Holiday Light Contests happen, or the newsletter gets created and published, or how any other event happens through the year they all begin at the KCTF. Meeting monthly Sept thru June.

Ways to Get Involved

  • Beginning in 1995, the KCTF awards multiple scholarships each year to deserving Keystone graduating HS students. The scholarships go towards the students further education. It is an important part of the KCTF.

  • Every other year the KCTF hosts a Chili Feed. This event benefits the Scholarship Fund. The event includes a raffle event. This event usually requires multiple volunteers. It is a great way to give back to the community and have fun!

  • Each year the city provides trash trucks for residents to unload items they normally can’t throw out in the regular trash. Keystone serves as a host site each year. Multiple volunteers are needed to help it go smoothly. It is a very popular event and a rewarding one to help out!

  • Each year the KCTF conducts a cleanup of Keystone Park. Removing leaves, weeds, and branches through the park with help from the city. This is a great way to get outside, meet neighbors, and do some good for the community. This event always can use more volunteers.

  • Each summer the KCTF promotes a garage sale event. Participants are put onto a publicly distributed list to help increase visibility of those holding sales. Signs are also placed at each entrance into Keystone to promote the event.

  • Each year the KCTF conducts a contest for houses that decorate for the Fall/Halloween theme. Prizes are awarded to the winners. This a great way to get involved and have fun!

  • Every year the KCTF hold a fun Halloween event at the Keystone Pool. Trick or Treaters can get some treats, goodies, and participate in a Jack-O-Lantern contest. This is a great way to have some fun helping the community.

  • Each winter the KCTF conducts a Holiday/Christmas Lights themed contest. Winners receive a small prize. This is a fun event for all involved!

  • The Pilster Foundation provides funds through the city to improve the Pilster Park. The KCTF seeks ways to improve the park and makes the requests to the city. This is a great way to help make the area better for future generations.

  • The KCTF is always seeking new events or ideas to help enrich the Keystone community!
